Where Did She Go? A Life Update

It’s been a long time since the last time I wrote here and I could’t believe that I will be back in writing with a little sad news with me.

I am a Medical Student from the Philippines. I graduated from my Internship last June 2019 and was scheduled to take the Philippine Physician Licensure exam this March. However, due to the COVID-19 emergency that we are all facing right now, the second half of our exam was postponed and no new schedules yet are out. I wasn’t able to take the September PLE 2019 examination due to many reasons, and now here I am, almost at the finish line yet the virus got in the way and prolonged our agony. I understand the reasons behind why it was postponed and I have already reflected about my life ‘delays’ for days and right now, all I could think about is for this pandemic to stop.

Honestly, at first I got so conceited with what I was going through and thought about my circumstances like I am the only person in this world affected by this, but I now realize that this is not a time for us to think selfishly, it’s time for us to think of others as well. Do whatever you can to help in stopping the spread of the virus.

I have friends right now who are frontliners in the Medical Field and they give me updates almost every day with what’s going on in their hospitals. My heart breaks with every bad news that I read or hear. My heart sympathizes with them, but I cannot even work with them yet because I still don’t have my own license.

I still have months of waiting to endure and I must make use of this time to study more. But if you are curious with my daily whereabouts in this time of ‘waiting’, I started writing in my tumblr account to entertain myself while waiting for this nightmare to stop.

Hopefully, I’ll be back soon with articles that I normally write, but for now, let’s pray for our world and the countries affected. Let’s pray for our leaders as well that they may decide wisely. Let’s pray for all of our frontliners, and may we make use of this time to reflect and reconnect with our God. This is not a time for us to question His Sovereignty. This is a time for us to worship Him and confess our sins and ask for His daily mercy. Our lives are in His hands. May this crisis bring us closer to Him.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

Psalm 91:1-4

In Christ,

    As expected from you, you have peace in these tragic times. Peace that comes from the Lord. Ang daming learning ng mga ganap lately. One is to be grateful with the little things, to thank Him for another morning, to stop complaning.

  2. Wishing you well. I had heard that they were accepting students that are or would have been graduating, but I don’t know if only in US. You are doing the right thing by trusting God even in this.
