For the past three years, one of the things that I have been praying about is to start a blog series, and finally, God answered it.
If you are a constant reader of this portion of the internet, you are probably familiar that most of the time I talk about the lessons I learned in life.
But these lessons are not enough to talk about the things that other people struggle with. Maybe, some of the things that God has been dealing with other people are things that I haven’t experienced yet.
So as a form of gratitude to those who read this blog, and also a celebration of my 3rd year in blogging, I want to share to all of you this December a blog series entitled,
“Lessons on Letting Go.”
The year is about to end, and some of us may have been going through something that God wants us to let go of. This is a timely season not just for us to remember the birth of Christ, but also to remind us each year that everything will someday come to end, and everything that has been keeping you from growing in Christ must be surrendered too.
C.S. Lewis once said,
Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.
We all have issues on letting go.
It could be your old self, habits, ambitions, attitudes or even people.
We wrestle with these issues almost every single day. There are even times that we feel like we are already able to overcome it, but suddenly, God tests our resilience and the firmness of our decisions, but end up realizing that we are still sailing in the middle of a storm.
There are even times that we feel that maybe we haven’t truly surrendered those things so we start to doubt our capacity to face these trials or worse, we doubt why of all the things that God can deal with you, He chose to deal you with lessons that are too hard to pass.
I cannot talk about every struggles, and there are some pains that I can only sympathize with but never actually experienced it myself.
This blog series is a compilation of lessons in life the were experienced by other people. In every lesson, we will have a guest writer to tell us his/her experience and how God was able to deliver him/her from that problem. I have asked some Christians across the world to share these lessons, and I’m thankful that they responded positively on this.
Every week, we will have at least 2 lessons, and most of the guest writers will talk about different kinds of struggle – from self issues, big life decisions to relationships that God dealt with them.
Just like what the Bible said in Proverbs 12:15,
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel,
this series will aim to teach us lessons and somehow remind us that we are not alone with every struggles.
At some point, there were other people that have gone through difficulties and God was able to deliver them out from what seems to be a hopeless situation.
May the God who is able to move mountains and calm the storm will be able to answer you through these lessons. 🙂
All glory and honor belongs to Him alone.
In Christ,
KrizSummer
Sharing to all of you one of the songs that I listen to almost every night :):
Letting go of every single dream
I lay each one down at Your feet
Every moment of my wandering
Never changes what You see
I’ve tried to win this war I confess
My hands are weary I need Your rest
Mighty Warrior, King of the fight
No matter what I face, You’re by my side
When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move
When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through
When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You!
You are my strength and comfort
You are my steady hand
You are my firm foundation; the rock on which I stand
Your ways are always higher
Your plans are always good
There’s not a place where I’ll go, You’ve not already stood
I subconsciously sang the song. 😂😂😂 Waiting for that seriws.
